Bl. Charles de Foucauld's Prayer of Abandonment
Father,
I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you
will.
Whatever you may do, I thank you:
I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me, and in all your
creatures.
I wish no more than this, O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my soul;
I offer it to you
with all the love of my heart,
for I love you, Lord,
and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands,
without reserve,
and with boundless confidence,
for you are my Father. |

Spirituality of the Community
The spirituality of the
community is humanistic and simple. It is deeply rooted
in the Eucharist and Sacraments. We remain faithful to
the Office of the Church either communally or privately.
Our calling is contemplative even while living in the
midst of the world. Our presence is among groups that
are inaccessible to other forms of Church ministry and
whose day to day life is marked by division, racism,
poverty or violence. Our presence is very small but when
modeled off of Christ, the fruits may be great in our
divided world. The Little Sisters of Jesus say it best, “[presence is] not a passive approach, "presence" is
what we learn from Jesus through the Incarnation. It is
a dynamic way of simply placing oneself within
situations in such a way that one's very life becomes
rooted and dependent upon what happens there.”
